Summer Secrets of Twenty.ten: Chapter 1

I am so physced for this story! Although I have to keep writing it cause I don't like it so far ): Oh well! Enjoy!PLEASE READ:SELENA IS SELENA GOMEZ. SHE IS DACEY'S COUSIN._Chapter 1*Dacey's P.O.V:* The sun shone intensely from above. I could see heat waves undulating from the ground and into the searing air. I leaned on my knees for support, panting. My water bottle sat in the sun, dripping condensation onto the splintered wood of my picnic table. I wanted so bad to quench my aching thirst, but I knew I would have to run the dance again. Brie sat on the bench next to me, her head back, chugging a water bottle. Her face was scarlet and dripping sweat. I laughed and walked towards my stereo. I pressed the play button weakly and did the routine...half-way. I was more then eager when the song faded. I walked towards my bottle keenly and felt the relief of the shaded picnic area envelop me. I sighed and chugged down half the water bottle, the leaking water dripped down my throat. I smiled under the pressure of the water as my phone rang. I checked the Caller I.D: Selena. Brie: "You wanna answer that?" She nodded towards the phone, wheezing between each word.I nodded and answered it, breathless.Dacey: "Hello?" I chugged a quarter of my drink down as she spoke.Selena: "Hey Dace! What's up?"Dacey: "Being an idiot and dancing in 100 degree weather. You?" I rasped as softly as I could.Selena: "Huh..." She laughed. "Hey! I have a question for you." She sounded enthusiastic, like she was holding something back.Dacey: "Yes Selena, I will marry you." I threw my head back laughing. But it didn't laugh long, I felt my breath quicken.Selena: "No silly!" She laughed between the words. "I was gonna ask if you and Brie wanted to come to my lake house in South Carolina, for the summer!" She said with satisfaction.Dacey: "Sure. When?"Selena: "We're leaving tomorrow morning, so get packed. I'll pick you and Brie up tomorrow at..." She hesitated. "7:00-ish?" I laughed and nodded.Dacey: "Alright Sel. Tomorrow. Love you!" I laughed lightly and hung the phone up.Brie raised an eyebrow and then smirked.Dacey: "You wanna go to Selena's lake house in South Carolina?" I sat down next to her and pressed my throbbing palms to my forehead. Brie took a sip of water.Brie: "Your parents okay with it?" She looked down.Dacey: "Um. Yeah." I laughed shakily.You know how some people have friends that they can tell ANYTHING to, and I do mean ANYTHING. Well, I had Brie. But something's are so secret, I could never tell anyone.Brie interrupted my chilling memory.Brie: "Okay. When? My parents won't give a ." She laughed.Dacey: "Tomorrow. Meet me at my house at like..." I faltered, not sure of any times. "6:30." Brie's eyes widened: she was a late sleeper. "Don't worry; you can sleep in her over-sized limo." I rolled my eyes and then chuckled.Brie: "Is she gonna have like...celebs there?" She smiled widely. Brie was straightforwardly obsessed with celebrities. I smiled.Dacey: "Maybe. If you're a good girl." I pinched her cheeks and then sighed. "Wanna go swimming at my place?" I raised an eyebrow.Brie: "Whatever..." She attempted to say nonchalantly. I grinned and took off running down the heat stroked sidewalk.
